I've seen this tag on many famous beauty blogs such as Sprinkle of Glitter and I wanted to try it for myself! In case you haven't seen this tag before, it involves you totting up the cost of all of your everyday beauty products. I was actually surprised at my results compared to the other ones I'd seen!
Face:
Collection Lasting Perfection concealer in Fair - £4.19
I love this concealer - I know, I know, who doesn't? Just simply doesn't compare to high end ones, especially not for the price.
L'Oreal Nude Magique BB Powder in Light (just to set my concealer) - £6.99
I bought this on special offer in Boots when it had just been released. I've never tried another setting powder before this one so I can't compare it, but I know I'll be checking out the Rimmel Stay Matte powder when this runs out.
Garnier Moisture Match 'Wake Me Up' Moisuriser for Dull Skin - £5.99
I have normal-dry skin and a tiny dab of this goes a very long way to perk up any patchy areas.
Sleek Face Form Kit in Light - £9.99
I don't use the highlighting powder in the middle as I prefer cream or liquid ones, but I love the contouring shade and the Rose Gold blush!
Topshop Glow in Polish - £9.00
I love this highlighter. Topshop has produced some gorgeous products recently and this is definitely a favourite of mine. I like to mix this with the Garnier Moisture Match moisturiser for a more subtle day-time glow.
Eyes:
L'Oreal Superliner Black Lacquer liquid eyeliner - £6.49
This just pipped my Maybelline gel eyeliner to the post! I use both on a daily basis but if I was stuck on a desert island and someone said I could only have one, I'd choose the L'Oreal one simply because of its staying power.
Mac Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara - £14
There's a lot of hate for Mac mascaras in the beauty blogosphere. I wish this mascara had more exposure because it is AMAZING. I have hideous short stumpy thick eyelashes and this mascara has the most incredible lengthening effect, but it still looks fairly natural. This is definitely my holy grail mascara.
Eyebrows:
Maybelline Master Shape brow pencil in Soft Brown - £2.99
I love this pencil simply for its subtlety. As a very dark pale brunette, I cannot rock bold brows to save my life! This is just good for more dramatic evening looks when my eye makeup can sometimes have a shrinking effect on my brows. Or if I've over plucked them in a rush...
Laura Mercier eyebrow pencil in Warm Brunette - £15.50
I have a weird little gap in my left eyebrow and I just use this for filling the gap in. Otherwise it looks like I've shaved a little slit in my eyebrow! I have no idea how that happened, it's just the way they naturally grow I suppose.
Lips:
Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle (not pictured - oops!) - £6.99
I was really late to the trend with these. Now I'm a total convert! I prefer them to lipstick if I'm completely honest!
And the grand total is... £82.13
I was a bit shocked at first - I had no idea just my basic everyday makeup added up to so much! However, all of the other how much is my face worth tags I've seen add up to £200+ so I guess I'm quite economical about my daily products!
Have you done this tag? Have you tried any of these products before?

Haha thank you :) you should do the tag too! xx
DeleteI love love love lip butters. They're moisturizing, light and some of them are super pigmented! I love the Korres Lip butters, but the price is sometimes a turn off, so I will look for revlon in the future!
ReplyDeleteCome visit sometime! Found you through the blog hop!!!
Red Lips & Rosewater
They're definitely amazing! There's a decent colour range as well. I wish Korres was slightly cheaper!
DeleteThank you for your comment, I didn't think the Blog Hop thing would actually be helpful for networking with other bloggers but I guess I was wrong :) xx
I really want to try some of the makeup from Sleek, I can't believe I haven't yet! The Face Form palette sounds great, I like powder based highlighters too, so I'd probably get a lot of use out of it.
ReplyDeleteLaura x | Life and Lipstick
It's definitely worth it! However if you want a blush I'd recommend buying just the blush on its own as the ones in the Face Form palettes aren't nearly as pigmented as the standalone pans.
Deletexx
ooooh I definitely need to do this calculation, although I'm slightly afraid! ;)
